At The Gill Guide Services, I am here to help create unforgettable Inshore and Offshore fishing experiences in the waters of Southwest Florida for everyone, from first-time anglers to seasoned experts. Whether you're learning the basics or targeting trophy fish, we focus on delivering a fun, relaxed, and rewarding day on the water.

My passion for fishing started long before I ever thought about running a charter. I grew up in Michigan, spending my childhood on a quiet lake where I learned the rhythm of the water and the thrill of that first tug on the line. Those early mornings, rod in hand, are where fishing became more than a hobby — it became a part of who I am.
When I moved to Florida as a young teenager, a whole new world opened up. Saltwater fishing was unlike anything I had ever experienced. The power of the saltwater, the variety of species, and the challenge of learning new techniques lit a fire in me that only grew stronger with time.
Not long after settling in, I landed a job at Island Seafood Market in Matlacha, Florida. Working there gave me a front‑row seat to the seafood industry. I learned the ins and outs of the trade — from handling and cleaning fish to understanding what makes each species unique. It gave me a deeper respect for the work that goes into bringing fresh seafood to the community.
At 19, I took the next step and began working on the commercial boats that supplied the market. Those years on the water were tough, honest work, and they shaped me into the fisherman I am today. By my early twenties, I was running the main boat for the fish house, gaining invaluable experience navigating the Gulf, reading the conditions, and understanding the habits of the fish we chased.
But even through all of that, my true goal never changed. I always knew I wanted to take people fishing — to share the excitement, the beauty, and the joy that the water has given me my whole life. Running charters isn’t just a job for me; it’s a chance to show others what I love doing and to help them create memories they’ll never forget.
Whether you’re a seasoned angler or casting a line for the first time, I’m here to make sure your time on the water is unforgettable.
